
Sharon Qi, PhD, APCC
Sharon Qi received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Pittsburg. She also received her Master’s in Counseling Education from San Jose State University.
Sharon has had a wide range of working experiences – from teaching students of different ages at school districts, to researching at the Stanford Research Institution (SRI), to working as a product/program manager at a high-technology company. Currently, she teaches part-time at San Jose State University. She also provides counseling services at a clinic as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
Her specializations include helping clients with special needs, or parents of clients with special needs who are distressed. She also has a focus in helping college students who are stressed from their academic studies, and also professional clients who are stressed by career development. She is interested in helping clients of any age who are undergoing a transition in their life (e.g., career, personal relationship, or family life).
Sharon has been trained in various therapy approaches. But she is particularly interested in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Bibliotherapy, Client-Centered Multicultural Therapy, and Therapy using Applied Behavior Analytics (ABA). She likes to identify the main source of stress, environmental factors that have caused the stress, emotional disturbance, or depression; Then, she tailors the treatment solutions for clients case by case.
Sharon has a strong passion in helping clients and believes that every client deserves a better quality of life.

她接受过许多不同的门诊心理治疗方法。她尤其喜欢用认知行为疗法(CBT,阅读疗法(Bibliotherapy), 以人为本的多元文化疗法(Client-centered Multi-cultural Therapy),及应用行为分(ABA)的疗法.
